Debbie's Quilt

Kaye's First Applique Quilt

: Trying to learn ragg ruggs.

I'm lost again.

The Stitchers have been quilting both at home and during meetings. We helped Debbie finish a quilt for her son. She hasn’t been feeling up to quilting. It’s a huge scrap quilt! Please check it out.

We also learned (at least we tried learning) how to make a ragg rugg with a toothbrush. You can see by the puzzled looks that we still have a bit to learn and need practice. I won’t repeat any of the interesting conversations overheard! Sandy did an excellent job attempting to teach us twisted stitchers.

The Charity Quilt

Our first charity quilt is finished. We each made a Maverick Star block then Claudyne and Denise sewed them all together to create the top. Jennifer quilted it on her long arm. All proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets will be donated to The Special Olympics event held at Amanda Clearcreek School in May.

Gift Bags

We’ve been busy! At our September 21 meeting, we made Christmas gift bags. No sewing, no needles or pins. Only irons, pencils, fabrics and fun! We learned how to use fusible web to create all kinds of gift bags. Add 2 or more name tags per bag so they can be recycled. We are green here at TSQG.
